Summary

Customers can have any number of accounts. Each account is from a single supplier and is defined by an account number.

  • Use: Accounts are an integral part of commissions in RPM, and every commission item must have an account.

Unique

Account numbers are unique per supplier. That means there can’t be more than one account with the same number for a given supplier. Account numbers can contain any mix of letters and numbers including leading zeros.

  • Technical: An account is a unique relationship between a customer, a supplier, and a subscriber.

Commission rules

Commission rules An account may have agency addendums, split participants, or an agency referral.

Move accounts

Each account belongs to a single customer. An account may be moved to a different customer. This does not affect commissions other than the total amount reported for each customer.

  • To move an account, click the "Move" link in the toolbar. This will allow you to move that single account or all accounts belonging to that customer.
  • There is also a "Move" link in the toolbar in the accounts web box on the customer details page to move all the account of that customer.

Rep account access

RPM maintains a list of which agent reps have access to which accounts.

  • If a rep has access to an account so do all their managers
  • Access to an account provides access to the customer as well

This access is granted automatically during calculation between reps and accounts they have commission items for. This access can also be altered manually:

  • To add rep access, go to an account then click "Add" in the "Reps" section.
  • To remove rep access click "Edit rep access" in the "Reps" section of the account details or customer details pages or click "Edit access" beside the customer name in the "Customers" section of the rep details page.
  • Note: If you remove rep access to an account but that rep has commission items with that account in the open run, clicking calculate will re-establish the access.
