Summary
There are two different types of agent users in RPM, rep and managers. Each agency can have any number of managers and reps.
Rep
A rep can have rep IDs and thus be linked to commission items. In other words, reps can make sales. Reps only see only their rep commission summary and commission items that they sold. In process management a rep can only see forms they are a participant of.
Manager
Managers see all the reps in an agency and all the commissions paid to an agency, including by referral. Managers see a commission summary for their agency, for each rep in their agency, the commission items sold by reps in their agency, commission items paying their agency a referral, and adjustments for their agency. Since a person who may fill this role at an agency may also be making sales, a user can be both a manager and a rep. These dual users log on as managers and have the full agency access that provides, but they may also have rep IDs and be linked to individual sales. In process management a manager see all forms that any rep or manager in their agency is a participant of.
Tips
- An agency requires at least one rep to have commission items.
- Only managers can see incoming referral commissions and adjustments.
- A user that is both a manager and a rep is counted as just a manager for user fee purposes.
- If agent users are logging on to the system then it is recommended that each agency has at least one manager user.
- There is no type of agent user that is allowed to add customers, accounts, or commission rules.
