Goal

The goal of the Ceres version is to add performance enhancements to Process Management so it will be usable for years even as our customers add more and more forms.

  • July 19, 2004 - Draft Functional Spec, introduction to developers
  • July 20 - Draft Technical Spec done & Initial estimates done
  • July 21 - Schedule finalized, first meeting with management. Benchmarking
  • July 22 - Primary feature development begins
  • Aug 2 - Stat holiday (Tai's also off the 3rd)
  • Aug 16 - Final development day (all tasks done)
  • Aug 17 - Dev testing, CR fixing
  • Aug 18 - Demos to Jade (tasks), Feature testing, CR fixing
  • Aug 19 - Demos to Jade (feature CRs), CR fixing (all A's done), Feature freeze
  • Aug 20 to 26 - Testing, (Jade's off)
  • Aug 27 - CR evaluation & meeting, CR fixing (A+ only from now on)
  • Aug 30 to Sept 1 - Testing (Jade's in Chicago)
  • Sept 3 - CR evaluation & meeting, CR fixing
  • Sept 7 - CR fixing
  • Sept 8 - CR verification, "Real data" testing

Codename

Continuing our Mars-related naming for 3.x, this was intended to be a minor version before the Jupiter-related versions(4.x)

Ceres, also designated 1 Ceres (see minor planet names), is the smallest identified dwarf planet in the Solar System and the only one in the asteroid belt.
