From RPM Wiki
A commission rule is something in RPM that defines how commissions should be paid. It includes the schedules, addendums, account group rates, splits, and referrals. During calculation RPM applies the commission rules to the commission data. Commission rules are independent of any one commission run and may or may not be used depending on the data. Commission rules are automatically applied by RPM every commission run as needed.
- Note: Does not include adjustments, as they apply to one commission run only.
