Summary
There are various error messages you might encounter in RPM. Here are some of the more common ones.
RPM application errors
An RPM application error shows up in a box with an icon of a red circle with an X in it. It may be the only thing on the page, or it may be mixed in with regular content.
The item can not be deleted because it has a commission history
RPM can't delete things that are referenced by commission items. If this thing only has commission items in the open run then you can delete those items then delete the thing. If it has items in closed runs then it can never be deleted.
HTML code is not allowed
A field you are entering contains HTML code or something the application thinks is HTML code.
- Examples: "<b>", "<myword"
- If the page has multiple fields, like when editing a form, the offending text may not have been typed just now by you, it may have been brought in earlier by an import and you are the first person to edit the page.
- We plan on handling this situation better in a future version.
You don't have permission to view that
Whatever you are trying to view is something you don't have access to. Contact your subscriber to inquire about being given access.
Reconcile is in progress for another template
Only one process reconciliation can be run at once.
The username was not found or the password was incorrect
Logon error.
Your account has been disabled
Your subscriber has disabled your logon.
The item you are looking for does not exist
The thing you are looking for is no longer in RPM or may be in the recycle bin.
Cannot open database
The application cannot connect to the database server, contact RPM.
Index was outside the bounds of the array
This is most likely a programming bug in the application or database, contact RPM.
System.OutOfMemoryException
There is something wrong on the server, please contact us.

RPM has encountered an unknown error, contact RPM Software.
Internet Explorer errors
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site, Operation aborted
- There is a network error or server error. Try again, and if it persists contact RPM Software.
- Or, this is the Operation aborted error we are trying to track down.
Pop-up blocked.

Server errors
Server Application Unavailable
This is a serious error, there is a problem on the application server and RPM is down for everyone using this deployment. Contact RPM Software.
The resource cannot be found
The page is missing.
- A user is trying to access a page intended for a different user type.
- An old email link or IE favorites link is being used and the application has been changed (unlikely).
- There is a known bug in the .NET framework that causes some URLs to be generated incorrectly sometimes: Dynamic URL error
