From RPM Wiki
This is a search within process management. The search is done of form numbers across all forms (including archived) in the process.
| Table of contents |
[edit]
Goal
Allow the user quick access to a form they know the number of.
[edit]
Search
- A search of the form numbers.
- All forms in the process are searched regardless of participant, status, or archive. In other words, this does search archived forms (See the archive feature in this document). Also, all forms are search regardless of the view the user was looking at when they entered the number.
- If exactly 1 match is found, the user is redirected right to that form.
- If no matches or multiple (partial) matches are found, the results page is shown.
[edit]
Results page
The search results are displayed using the "Select a form grid".
- Allows paging & sorting
- Allows different views to be used (changing redoes the search). The view defines the columns.
- Allows downloading to Excel. The columns of the current view are used and the forms included match the search results.
- If a query has not been entered yet the grid is not displayed
The differences between the results page and the select a form page are:
- Page title says {PROCESS} search
- There is a text box under the page title with the query (the user can lunch another search from here as well)
- There is no "Edit views" link or "Summary" link.
[edit]
Running the search
There are 2 links to the form search page
- From a link on the more searches page. Each process is listed on this page separately. When the user arrives at the form search page the query field will be blank, the grid hidden, and the default view will be "All".
- From the "Select a form" page. We will add a "Search" link to the grid control bar that will go to the form search page with the current processes and view selected.
- If the user accesses the form search page without a process (URL manipulation) they will be redirected to the process management page (staff) or home page (agent user).
- The search is done from a view, but is not limited by the view.
- Enter a full or partial form number and press "Enter".

Staff users
- A privilege of "Full" or "Limited" for the given process is required.
- If the privilege is "Limited" then only forms the user is a participant of are included in the search results.
