The start
- RPM development began in late 2001 using .NET Framework 1.0 Beta 2 and a beta version of Visual Studio .NET (2002).
- The upgrade to official .NET Framework 1.0 and Visual Studio .NET (2002) was shortly after the RTM in January 2002.
