This page no longer applies to RPM since we moved to an AJAX architecture. However, it appears this page is popular on Google so we'll leave it for now.
Refresh
Some things in RPM can take a while for the application to complete, such as commission calculation, "finish import", and synchronizing forms. While the task is being performed an "In progress" message is shown. RPM uses a browser function called "meta refresh" to have your browser check every few seconds to see if the job is done yet. This function is enabled by default and should work fine without the user having to do anything. However, we noticed with Microsoft's newest operating system, Windows Server 2003, that they chose to disable this functionality by default. When this functionality is disabled pages like "Calculation", "Form import", "Synchronize forms". and "Reconciliation" will appear to be "In progress" forever (although in the background the calculation completes normally).
Checking & enabling meta refresh
In Internet Explorer click Tools > Internet Options in the menu bar. Click the "Security" tab in the options window and select the "Internet" icon. Click "Custom Level" and the "Security settings" window will open. Find "Allow META REFRESH" and make sure it is set to "Enable".
